Atlanta Area Dairy Queens Celebrate Miracle Treat Day

This past week, over 80 Dairy Queen Grill and Chill’s opted in to participate in the coolest day of the year and make a difference at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. These locations committed to donating a portion of proceeds from all Blizzards sold on Thursday, July 28th! Dairy Queen has been a Children’s Miracle Network Partner since 1984, and has raised more than $1.3 Million cumulatively for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, alone!

Last week, CMN Atlanta staff members visited some of our top fundraising locations to celebrate Miracle Treat Day. Jefferson, GA Dairy Queen owner David Gillespie and his crew take Miracle Treat Day very seriously, right down having Miracle Treat Day temporary tattoos (which we couldn’t resist). Over the past few years, Miracle Treat Day in Jefferson, GA means Blizzard Eating contest, Back to School celebrations, and post sporting practice treats!

Miracle Treat Day in Atlanta is also a great opportunity for CMN Partners to join forces. The Buford, GA Dairy Queen partnered with local RE/MAX agency, The Gwin Team of RE/MAX Legends, to have Blizzard proceeds for the day matched! A special thanks for Mafe Gwin (RE/MAX) and Phillip Gillespie (DQ) for making this happen. Talk about a doubly sweet treat! 2022 Miracle Treat was a huge success. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is so appreciative of Dairy Queen’s commitment to our patients and their families.
