Atlanta Dance Marathons Kickoff the School Year with Children’s
Two weeks ago, student leaders of collegiate Miracle Network Dance Marathon’s benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta gathered to kickoff the 2021-2022 school year! Students representing colleges and universities from all over Atlanta and North Georgia met at the Westin Peachtree Plaza to celebrate their previous accomplishments, collaborate with other schools, and hear exciting updates from their local CMN Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The schools attending included the University of North Georgia (Miracle UNG), Georgia Tech (Miracle at Georgia Tech), Kennesaw State University (Miracle at KSU), and the University of Georgia (UGA Miracle). Last year, these schools raised a cumulative total of over $1.6 Million for Children’s. With a year of navigating so many unknowns behind them, these students are ready to take on whatever 2021-2022 has in store for them!
In addition to this, the students were able to hear from Miracle Kid Aubrey English and her family. Aubrey was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor on her liver at the age of 2, and was treated at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Aubrey, now 6, showed off her “TikTok” Dance Moves with the students, sharing smiles all around! Aubrey is able to continue dancing through childhood thanks to the generous support of partners like our Miracle Network Dance Marathons!
We can’t wait for a great school year. We are ready to make some miracles in Atlanta!
