Celebrate National Autism Awareness Month!

Did you know that April is Autism Awareness Month? Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a child’s ability to communicate and interact with others. Autism is more common than all cases of childhood cancer, congenital heart defects, juvenile diabetes, cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy combined. You can help us spread awareness this month by getting involved in the 2019 Autism Speaks Walk or supporting some of your favorite spots like O’Charley’s, Johnny’s NY Style Pizza or On the Border Mexican Grill this month. Learn more at www.choa.org/april.

Marcus Autism Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is one of the largest clinical providers of autism care in the country. Marcus Autism Center is one of five National Institutes of Health (NIH) Autism Centers of Excellence and is a comprehensive resource for children with autism across the southeast and the country.
