Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Hosts Third Annual Children’s Miracle Network Southeast Collaboration Meeting

It’s no secret that some of the biggest keys to a successful organization are actively participating in activities such as networking and collaboration. On Thursday, January 16 – Friday, January 17 2020, the CMN team at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hosted individuals from Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Children’s of Alabama, Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center and the Children’s Miracle Network National Office for the third annual CMN Southeast Collaboration Meeting. More than 20 hospital fundraisers gathered to reflect on 2019 and brainstorm for the year ahead.

Opportunities like the Southeast Collaboration Meeting are one of the highly valued benefits of being a part of the Children’s Miracle Network. Kristen Weisz, Southeast Area Vice President for CMN, explains, “While we have opportunities at our national meetings to gather together as the Southeast Area— our collaboration meeting provides the chance for a select group of markets, who share a similar fundraising portfolio and team structure, to have more detailed discussions around their specific areas of focus in their markets. The format allows for best practice sharing and solutions that are most relevant to the markets involved and hopefully provides solutions these teams can implement during the upcoming fundraising year.”

The group discussed everything from the latest tips and tricks in Dance Marathon, to the best stewardship strategies for Corporate Partners. Each hospital team left with new ideas to help their hospitals achieve their 2020 goals.
