Help Us Welcome Facility Dog Conway to Our Canines for Kids Team

Children’s is thrilled to introduce Conway, the newest addition to our Canines For Kids team!

Conway, an 18-month-old black lab/golden retriever mix, will join the Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Scottish Rite alongside primary handler Elizabeth Poplawski, DO, Pediatric Physiatrist, and secondary handlers Haley Grayson, Recreational Therapist, and Tori Ragsdale, Occupational Therapist.

Together with his handlers, Conway will be paws on for therapeutic sessions with patients, supporting functional goals related to gross and fine motor skills, ambulation, emotion state regulation, and activities of daily living. With his paw-sitive personality and canine charm, he will help motivate patients and provide distraction during challenging activities.

“Conway is the sweetest dog and has already captured our hearts,” Dr. Poplawski said. “He loves to snuggle and is always ready to play! We are looking forward to many adventures with him, in and out of the hospital.”

Fun fact: Conway’s litter was named after famous country singers. Three of his siblings—Garth, Dolly and Patsy—are also joining hospital teams throughout the country this week.

Welcome Conway!
