Save the Date: 2022 Cape Day

Who is your hero? Is it a notable change maker? A family member? The coffee barista that gets your order just right on Monday Mornings?!

Here at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, we see heroes in the more than 400,000 patients we treat on an annual basis. Whether these kids are being treated for an injury in our Emergency Department, or receiving routine treatment at our Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Center, we know it takes super human strength and resiliency to face what our patients encounter. To honor these small but might heroes, Children’s introduced Cape Day in 2014.

Cape day is now an annual tradition held in October that encourages the community to celebrate the patients facing illnesses and injuries at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Each day, our patients overcome healthcare obstacles and face challenges that most of us could never imagine. We wear a cape in honor of them. Mark your calendars for October 21st, 2022 for this year’s Cape Day! Interested in how to be more involved? Visit www.choa.org/capeday to learn more about purchasing your very own cape, awareness and sponsorship opportunities, and other initiatives to bring Cape Day to your community. Regardless of what your Cape Day plans look like, be sure to post on social media using the hashtag #CapeDayATL.
