UGA Miracle Raises $1,167,175.22 “In This Moment”

This past weekend, more than 1,000 University of Georgia students gathered to fundraise for and celebrate the patients and families of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at the 27th annual UGA Miracle Dance Marathon. This 26.2 hour event is the culmination of a full year of college students fundraising for Children’s Rehabilitation Services and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Dance Marathon is much more than simply dancing. Students participate in Fundraising Challenges, Silent Discos, “Hair Chop” Challenges, and much, much more. At the end of Dance Marathon, the final fundraising total of $1,167,175.22 was revealed in Sanford Stadium. While many victories have been celebrated in this sports venue, this moment will certainly be a special memory for the student leaders that have worked so hard to support Children’s this year.

This year’s event theme,  “In This Moment”, emphasizes how easy it is to change the world around if you choose to act now. UGA Miracle recognizes that Kids Can’t Wait, and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals needs the support of their communities to continue to treat their patients. THANK YOU, UGA Miracle, for remaining so steadfastly dedicated to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
