Speedway Spreads Extra Valentine’s Cheer

Atlanta welcomed it’s fourth Speedway location in Cumming, GA earlier this year! Miracle child and cardiac warrior, Sydney, helped welcome guests to the new store–and she wasn’t shy about telling people about Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and her favorite Hope and Will mascots as they entered the store.

Support from CMNH partners like Speedway provide critical, specialized care for kids like Sydney, who was born with multiple congenital heart defects and underwent open-heart surgeries at 2 days old and again at 4.5 months old. She celebrates her “Heart-versary” each February by giving back to the Children’s cardiac unit and isn’t afraid to tell others that her scars are superhero scars and mean “I can do anything.”

Our four Atlanta-area Speedway locations are following Sydney’s lead by spreading a little extra cheer for our kids at Children’s this Valentine’s Day. From February 8-11, Speedway customers will have a chance to write well-wishes on Valentine’s Day cards to patients at Children’s in exchange a $1 minimum donation.
