Christmas Cheer for Children’s Patients

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta welcomes donations of new toys to give to our patients year-round. However, during the holiday season, Children’s is very fortunate to see a dramatic increase in donations! In December 2017, Children’s Scottish Rite hospital campus accepted a total of 40,224 toy donations from the surrounding community! The donations range from small sensory toys for infants, to elaborate art supplies for our teen patients. A large amount of these donations are dedicated to providing one of akind Christmas morning experiences for patients and families that are unable to be home for the holidays.

On the morning of December 25th, Santa Claus himself pays a visit to occupied rooms at Scottish Rite with personalized gift bags for each and every family. Word has it that Santa works with each floor’s Child Life Specialist to ensure that he has every patients’ wish list!

Thanks to these donors, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is able to spread the joy of the holiday season.
