Atlanta Area Walmart and Sam’s Clubs Shoot for the Stars

On August 15, 2018, over 500 Walmart and Sam’s Club associates gathered at the new Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center to prepare for a monumental year of fundraising for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This year’s kickoff was themed “A Billion and Beyond,” as Walmart and Sam’s Club will surpass the $1 Billion fundraising mark on their efforts to support CMN Hospitals nationally since 1987.

The kickoff was truly out of this world, as many associates came dressed in their best galactic gear to match the space age theme. Festivities included a planetarium, Storm Troopers and a visit from Atlanta United goalie Brad Guzan. Attendees were also able to celebrate Walmart and Sam’s Club recent contribution to the Center for Advanced Pediatrics, which opened this past July.

Children’s is so fortunate to have incredible partnerships like Walmart and Sam’s Club. This year’s campaign is sure to be one to remember.
