Celebrate Lunar New Year with Panda Express!

This Friday, February 12, 2021, marks the beginning of Lunar New Year and the Year of the Ox in the Chinese zodiac. Lunar New Year celebrates the coming together of family and friends to feast and welcome the new year and is the most important festival in China. Since 2007, Panda Express has been bringing good fortune to millions of kids treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by asking for donations at the register all year long. Funds donated stay local and impact patients and families in your community. 

We want to join alongside the associates and guests celebrating this Lunar New Year and take a moment to recognize the immense impact Panda has made on Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2020. More than $320,000 was raised supporting kids like Michael:

At just 2 weeks and 17 days old, Michael was diagnosed with a complex heart condition and was transferred to Children’s for have his first heart surgery. He had his second surgery at 5 months old and a third when he was 6 years old. “Six weeks after the third surgery, Michael started growing and gaining weight, and he was able to play baseball,” Ashley shares. “He noticeably had more energy.” Today, Michael enjoys baseball, golf, tennis and video games, and he sees William T. Mahle, MD, a Pediatric Cardiologist and Co-Chief of the Children’s Heart Center, every six to nine months to monitor his heart and pulmonary arteries.
