Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Employees Receive COVID-19 Vaccine!

After almost a year of battling the COVID-19 pandemic, we see the light at the end of the tunnel: receiving the COVID-19 vaccine!

Since December, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta employees have begun receiving first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccines. To date, we’ve been able to vaccinate more than 6,176 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than 811 second doses. Clinical trials are showing these vaccines to be safe and effective, and those who have already received the shot say it’s a quick, relatively painless process—one that brings protection and the promise of a return to normalcy.

As a healthcare organization, we are fortunate and appreciative of the supply received from the Department of Public Health as we have been able to offer the vaccine to all employees who are interested. We look forward to helping make our community safer, one step at a time.
