IHOP Flips it Forward for Kids

Starting January 2, IHOP restaurants in metro Atlanta and north Georgia started raising money for CMN Hospitals benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta through a balloon icon campaign. Customers could make a donation and in return would receive a $5 coupon to be used on their next visit to IHOP.

Through the fundraiser, IHOPs did more than just fundraise. They decorated their restaurants, joined us at Children’s at Scottish Rite to learn more and interacted with patient families through Miracle Saturdays and in-hospital patient parties. During Miracle Saturdays, patient families visited IHOP to share their story with servers and customers in order to further connect the restaurant with their fundraising efforts. Then during in-hospital patient parties, IHOP hosted a pancake party encouraging patients and families to enjoy breakfast for lunch on them!

The annual fundraiser culminated with National Pancake Day on February 25. This day celebrated the fundraising efforts of IHOP and their customers by offering customers a free short stack of world-famous buttermilk pancakes. In return, IHOPs encouraged customers to make a donation to CMN Hospitals benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The IHOP restaurant in Chamblee even hosted our 2020 Miracle Kid, Piper Benner, to cook and flip her own pancakes (complete with lots and lots of sprinkles)!
