Meet our Honorary Construction Managers!

Last fall, our teams started construction on Arthur M. Blank  Hospital. With the help of our honorary construction managers, we have made strides in our progress and milestones with making this new facility come to life!

Check out our current progress and meet one of our honorary construction managers, Lex.

Lex Stolle was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in September 2019 at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center after experiencing a loss of appetite, fatigue and body aches. He began receiving chemotherapy treatments once a week and, in October 2019, celebrated going into remission.

The now-sixth grader will continue with monthly treatments over the next three years. Despite the toll that treatment took on his body, Lex is returning to the activities he loves like participating in his school play and attending Atlanta United games with friends.

According to Glen Lew, MD, Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist, Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, Lex embodies the will that patients at Children’s use every day to overcome difficult diagnoses or injuries.

Thanks, Lex, for all you do for our new hospital!
