Children’s gains a new member of our furry fleet
Our Canines for Kids program welcomed a brand-new therapy dog last month! Meet Aries- a 3 year old golden retriever who can’t wait to start his new job being there for our patients. His home will be on our Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center at Egleston. His primary job will be providing a lending paw to those patients enduring outpatient treatments as well as providing comfort to our inpatient families on the floor.
Our Canines for Kids program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has 14 specially trained dogs that provide care in more ways than one. They bring comfort and companionship to patients in challenging or stressful situations as well as providing smiles in an unfamiliar place.
The Canines for Kids program at Children’s is 100% donor funded so your help fundraising supports our furry fleet of pups.
