Children’s Summer Camps Re-opening at Full Capacity

To give every child the meaningful camp experience they deserve, we are looking for more counselors for this summer! Dedicate of a week of your time to create life-changing memories at camp for children with medical challenges at the specially designed Rutledge campus of Camp Twin Lakes.

While all volunteers are appreciated, we have a special need for male counselors!

Summer Camp Schedule

  • May 29 – June 3, 2022 Camp Braveheart: A camp that promotes self-esteem and team building for children with congenital or acquired heart defects.
  • May 29 – June 3, 2022 Camp Carpe Diem: Make memories that last a lifetime at this overnight summer camp for children and teens with seizure disorders.
  • May 29 – June 3, 2022 Camp Courage: For children and teens with craniofacial anomalies, this overnight summer camp builds independence and self-worth while encouraging kids to try new things.
  • June 19 – 24, 2022 Camp String4Life: This overnight simmer camp is for kids 8-12 years old who are above a healthy weight (BMI greater than the 85th percentile). Help them stay active and create healthy habits during their week at camp.
  • July 10 – 15, 2022 Camp Just Be You: You Be You Sleepaway Camp is a week long camp for children ages 8-17 with autism who are verbally fluent and can complete self-care skills independently.
  • July 17 – 22, 2022 Camp Krazy Legs: This overnight summer camp for children and teens with spina bifida promotes positive self-esteem through fun and learning.
  • July 17 -22, 2022 Camp No Limb-itations: Children and teens with amputation or limb deficiency can develop friendships that last a lifetime at this overnight summer camp.
  • July 24 – 29, 2022 Camp Crescent Moon: Camp Crescent Moon provides an enjoyable getaway and a terrific opportunity for patients with sickle cell disease to meet others with similar medical conditions.
  • July 24 – 29, 2022 Camp Independence: An overnight camp for children and teens with kidney disease and solid organ transplant, staffed round-the-clock by medical experts.
